ND Heritage Center

Bismarck, ND

This drill rig model was designed and built for the North Dakota Heritage Center, Bismarck, ND and was made possible in part with funding from Nabors Drilling, American Casing, the Lippert family (formerly GL Trucking), Wisco, and Garry Bates (Former owner, High Plains wireline).

This is a compound kelly/rotary table type rig with (2) CAT generator engines, and (3) D379 CAT compound engines. This model drilling rig also incorporates the traditional but not quite obsolete mud pits. Like all MPR model drill rigs, every component is built from scratch - yes even the trucks.
